  • Battle Simulator based on Replays

This is the hottest stuff since the introduction of Battle Results: Battle Simulator and Battle Action based on your uploaded Replays.

Both are doing after battle analysis very easy, you can even look into a game without starting World of Tanks. Works even on mobile phones, as both are using HTML(5) and JavaScript, but no Flash.

    Battle Action
This is an extract from the ingame chat, mixed up with some battle relevant informations like hits and destroyed tanks.
By hoovering over the chat it will show the distance and remaining health. I experimented also with some comments which are acting based on the action. Just for example: If you remember Unreal Tournament, you will remember the KILLING SPREE and KILLING RAMPAGE which will occur after a commander is doing some kills.

Additionally, in brackets it will show the last known position of the tank.

    Example:
    http://www.vbaddict.net/battlereport...81188866085940

    Battle Simulator
A web based viewer which is showing the live action on a minimap. Icons based on the tank types are moving around and lines are showing whenever they shoot. Optionally the name of the tank and the commander can be displayed. Feel free to play with the different speed settings.
Without playing a battle, it is showing the way the team has drive through.

    Example:
    http://www.vbaddict.net/battlesim/ph...81188866085940

Keep in mind, both features are still in heavy tests, the next weeks will show how they perform.

    These are the known issues:
    • Moving tank icons are not 100% correct FIXED!
    • Not yet implemented spotting tanks, damaged modules, base capture
    • Battle Simulator: Chat is not always complete (does not affect Battle Action)
    • Battle Simulator: Caught fire is showing like normal shot
    • Battle Simulator: The slider below the minimap is read only, see todo list

And this will be implemented later (todo):
    • Showing a summarization of movement on a particular map, frequently used paths ("hot spots"), seperated by tank types (everyone can see the spotting points of light tanks, waiting positions of TD's, camping points of SPGs)
    • Battle Simulator: Rewind
    • Battle Simulator: Pause
    • Battle Simulator: Sliding to a given time
    • Battle Simulator: Show base being captured

You are welcome to report a bug and suggest an improvement:

BIG THANKS goes to euvido who wrote the required parser and viewer.

Hot spot data generated from this would be awesome to see/have.

This looks incredible, any chance we can upload single replays without using active dossier? I find that using this can cause lag in game when it decides to bulk upload a bunch of replays at once while i'm playing.

euvido did already some tests regarding hot spots. This is already on my todo list ("Showing a summarization of movement on a particular map, frequently used paths"). Some examples of his tests:

Added to my todo list (http://www.vbaddict.net/project.php?issueid=415). Currently this feature is implemented in ADU as this is the way the backend is getting it's data.

You can go offline in ADU, it will still monitor for changes. After gaming finished, go online and it will upload your data.

This will be done automatically with the ADU Active Dossier Uploader:
      http://www.vbaddict.net/wot.php?do=upload

New replays are automatically uploaded to your profile.

That's not my game, I'm not even involved in this. Just wanted to point out a game where the vBAddict comments are shown at full glance. And for sure there are much more of such games, like f.e. listed here:

That's fantastic. Could u please make a separate page with all maps as above? I mean movement or "frequently used path".
This explaining a lot of things and i don't have to analyze a tens/hundreds of battles one by one.
I'm sure everybody know this maps and tactics perfectly, but i found several interesting spots/movement and I'm going to have closer look. This stuff could be helpful for anybody who try to play better - i think.
