vBAddict's Avg. Battle Tier?
this has probably been asked before, but i can't find it.
How is Avg. Battle Tier calculated in vBAddict?
For example, Tiger I (T7) can be matched into battle tiers 7-9.
Yet vBAddict shows average battle tier = 6.8 for my Tiger ?!
Seems as vBAddict's definition of battle tier is different from the matchmaker's definition?
I suspect VBAddict's value is the average of tiers of all other tanks the tank has faced in battle?
Is there any chance this can be reviewed to match the "official" battle tier definition?
It's a simple average of all tanks in that battle. The "official" Battle Tier is not available in the game data.
Oh! It does say battle tier but for me it works better as a "tank tier most often faced" rating.
Is that even less likely?
EDIT: it is also only based on battles uploaded to your vbaddict account, right?
Ok, thanks for feedback.

in a bt8 battle, you can have regular t6, t7, t8 tanks.
t6 tanks have battle tiers 6,7,8
t7 tanks have battle tiers 7,8,9
t8 tanks have battle tiers 8,9,10
First value in column is the min bt per tank.
Max of these is 8. => You're in a bt8 battle.
This still works with scouts or special-MM tanks.
You'd need to correct for fail platoons though.
That will not really work and requires re-checking of the values on a frequent manner. Will stay on the current implementation and don't try to guess.
